I have a lot to say about it, but I won’t get too into it. Mostly I just think a lot of the comments are funny but sometimes it turns a real corner and it just makes me feel bad for people. It all comes from ignorance and I think if those people were subject to the hurtful words they throw around on the internet, they would change their tune. There are actual human beings sitting on the other end of that cable that connects us all. I know what I am and I certainly know what I’m not. I know how to attribute things that people say and do. I will say it’s taught me to be a much more compassionate and patient person, I just think, gosh, I can’t imagine why you feel the need to say things like this, what terrible thing happened to you today that you felt like hurting someone else? Did someone call you a name today? I promise that doing the same thing to someone else, no matter how reachable or real they feel will not make you feel better but just the opposite. Saying a wonderful thing to someone is the only thing that is sure to make you feel better.
It’s sad how much I wish Glee was still good. Even though S1 and early S2 had its problems, overall the show at least made you a fan of the characters.
And even when the plots didn’t make any sense, you still felt that pull towards the characters involved in those plots. But now the writers don’t even try anymore because everybody has to take a backseat to one particular character… one who was never meant to be the lead.
